Job Title: Technical Specialist
Job Purpose: To design, implement, manage, and support enterprise Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms as the primary technology stack, along with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Dell server infrastructure, and related datacenter technologies for customer projects and managed services.
Qualification: BE/BTech/Bsc/Diploma
Experience: 8 – 15 Years
Certification: Nutanix Certified Expert /Professional (NCP-MCI / NCP) and Nutanix Advanced / expert-level certification, VCF 9.0 Architect
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience is mandatory, and core technologies should have been used in recent projects within the last one to two years.
- Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Nutanix HCI environments in enterprise customer environments.
- Perform Nutanix cluster deployment, node expansion, cluster upgrade, health monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Administer and support Nutanix Prism Central and Prism Element for centralized infrastructure management and operations.
- Manage and troubleshoot Nutanix AHV, virtual machine operations, storage containers, networking, and cluster services.
- Perform Nutanix software and firmware upgrades using Lifecycle Manager (LCM) and ensure platform compliance with supported hardware and software matrix.
- Handle cluster performance troubleshooting, capacity planning, storage optimization, CPU/memory balancing, and infrastructure health remediation.
- Work on Nutanix foundation deployment, node imaging, cluster creation, and commissioning activities.
- Configure and support Nutanix storage, data resiliency, replication, disaster recovery, snapshots, and business continuity features.
- Plan and execute migration of workloads from legacy infrastructure or VMware platforms to Nutanix platforms.
- Support Nutanix-hosted production, DR, pre-production, and test environments and ensure high availability and operational stability.
- Troubleshoot Nutanix-related issues across compute, storage, hypervisor, firmware, network integration, and cluster services.
- Perform proactive health checks and recommend remediation actions for Nutanix platform optimization and reliability improvement.
- Support design and implementation of multi-cluster Nutanix environments and centralized monitoring.
- Work closely with OEM/vendor support teams for Nutanix incident resolution, RCA, bug validation, and support case follow-up.
- Maintain documentation related to Nutanix implementation, configuration baseline, SOPs, HLD, LLD, upgrade plans, and operational handover.
- Support and troubleshoot VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter / VCF environments where customer environments are hybrid or mixed.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot HPE Synergy and Dell PowerEdge servers, hardware components, RAID, BIOS, firmware, iDRAC, and lifecycle controller.
- Support server hardware implementation, firmware upgrades, and hardware break-fix coordination with OEM/vendors.
- Perform datacenter infrastructure implementation, migration, consolidation, and upgrade projects.
- Provide support for customer escalations, critical incidents, and breakdown cases within agreed service levels.
- Proactively resolve support requests escalated from service delivery teams.
- Execute health check services and closure activities for AMC customers along with the team.
- Willing to work on a flexible schedule depending on business needs.
- Act as the Technical SME for the technologies listed in the competency table.
