A leading UAE bank sought to modernize its inter-data center WAN infrastructure to improve security, resilience, and operational consistency. Intertec designed and deployed a Cisco-based routing platform across three critical data center locations, replacing legacy environments with a standardized architecture. The solution introduced encrypted connectivity, strengthened business continuity, and created a scalable foundation for future growth.
The bank's WAN environment had evolved across multiple platforms, creating operational complexity and increasing lifecycle risks. Legacy routing infrastructure, inconsistent configurations, and the need for secure inter-data center connectivity made it difficult to support business-critical applications, disaster recovery, and replication services. The organization required a secure, standardized, and scalable architecture with minimal disruption during migration.
Intertec delivered a structured WAN modernization program built on six Cisco Catalyst 8475 Secure Router Gen 2 platforms across three UAE data centers. The solution introduced secure GRE/IPSec connectivity, OSPF-based dynamic routing, and 10Gbps infrastructure to support critical workloads. A phased migration approach minimized operational risk while maintaining service continuity. Intertec also provided architecture design, security hardening, implementation, validation, documentation, and knowledge transfer to establish a consistent and supportable operating model.
