Responsibilities:Infrastructure Support & Maintenance
- Administer servers and storage systems across production and UAT environments
- Conduct regular health checks, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
- Manage patching cycles, firmware upgrades, and hardware refreshes (including EOL/EOS tracking)
- Liaise effectively with Server, Database, Application, and Network teams to identify and resolve issues
Virtualization & Cloud Integration
- Operate under guidance on VMware, VCF, NSX, and Hyper-V environments
- Contribute to cloud migration readiness, monitoring, and backup strategy development
- Troubleshoot hybrid workloads and resolve resource scaling challenges
Security & Compliance Alignment
- Enforce endpoint hardening and baseline configuration standards
- Assist in security patch deployment and vulnerability remediation planning
- Support ISO, SOC, and internal audit preparedness through proper documentation
Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain and update CMDB records, track hardware and software assets
- Collaborate with procurement teams to align asset lifecycle and replacement schedules
- Oversee warranty tracking, license management, secure disposal, and inventory transparency
Tools & Automation
- Leverage platforms such as vROPs, SolarWinds, and Manage Engine for infrastructure monitoring
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, or Python
- Create and update SOPs, knowledge transfer decks, and performance dashboards
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with service desk, network, security, and application teams
- Support onboarding, infrastructure readiness, and manage escalations
- Contribute to capacity planning and infrastructure enhancement initiatives
Leadership & Communication
- Mentor L1–L2 staff; develop upskilling roadmaps and rotation plans
- Lead infrastructure projects with cross-functional teams aligned to business outcomes
- Deliver executive reports, dashboards, and audit committee updates
Disaster Recovery & High Availability
- Manage disaster recovery site operations and recovery protocols
- Ensure high availability of storage systems and data center devices
- Design IT service continuity plans, policies, and test scenarios aligned with business resilience
Mandatory:Platform Exposure - Windows/Linux Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy. Must have expert-level troubleshooting skillsVirtualization- Hands-on experience in designing and managing virtualization environments such as VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-VBackup & Storage- Strong knowledge and experience of backup tools (Veeam, Veritas), Storage handlingMonitoring Tools- SolarWinds, Manage Engine, or similar infrastructure monitoring toolsPatch management- Strong knowledge and experience in monthly security patch management. Responsible for preparing the periodic patch management cycleAutomation Skills- Good exposure in automation such as Ansible, PowerShell scriptingDisaster Recovery- Good experience in managing disaster recovery operations and procedures. Responsible for preparing the runbook for BCP/DR activities.Datacenter Management- Responsible for coordinating with Datacenter services, Physical Infrastructure Oversight, Access Management, Capacity Planning, Asset Tracking & DocumentationDocumentation- Good practice in infrastructure documentation and SOP writingCompliance Awareness- Exposure to ISO/SOC controls, patching standards, and compliance & Audit Support
