Our client, the largest healthcare provider in UAE, wanted to make the most of the latest medical technologies to underpin the country’s robust health infrastructure and bring happiness and joy to patients and society at large. With Wareed EMR, a system that facilitates a consolidated health information database of MOHAP patients through the use of an integrated healthcare IT system, Intertec helped the client to speed up delivery of healthcare services by enhancing the EMR platform.

Business Problem

The client was using a critical Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system on legacy infrastructure, enabling physicians and practice staff to access patient information and perform workflows on mobile devices, which can be customized. However, the legacy platform incurred very high maintenance costs, had limited scalability, and lacked security compliance. Therefore, Intertec was tasked with refreshing the technology stack for the EMR, creating a DR site, upgrading, and migrating the EMR code base and data to the latest platform. The solution was required to serve all client facilities, comprising approximately 16 hospitals, 70+ clinics, and 20+ other locations, with a total of 12,000+ users.
