Abu Dhabi Farmers Services Centre Deploys Infor EAM to Track & Maintain their RFID Enabled Assets

The Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre (ADFSC) provides technical and operational support services to farmers, helping them grow and market their produce. ADFSC was established in 2009 to bring strategic agricultural reform to Abu Dhabi, especially by introducing and encouraging the conservation of natural resources.

Business Scenario

To ensure Asset visibility and implement ADFSC Asset management related policies, ADFSC invited companies to suggest easy to use bi-lingual (English/Arabic) Asset Management services and tool to address below challenges:

  • Manual practice of Acquisition policies of physical assets
  • Absence of Single Asset database data and related details like location, custodian department or person, asset image, etc.
  • Absence of tool to track asset maintenance and measure Contractor SLA’s
  • Time Consuming Asset verification and audit process
  • No Automation of asset disposal process

Solution

Project was awarded to Intertec Systems to provide Asset data collection services across 35 locations, applying RFID tags based on Asset types (metallic or non metallic), deploy asset management tool The asset management application should help the ADFSC Help Desk team to initiate and track the maintenance requests.

The system should allow configurable workflow to route requests and notify the on-site maintenance team to perform the maintenance work process. In addition configurable role based Dash boards were part of deliverable users in receiving proactive information and assist in decision making . Scope included application capability on validating asset data process during counting and audit.

In lines with the objectives set by The Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre (ADFSC), Intertec team implemented  the Project in defined timelines and budgets using PMI Methodology.

Project activities included ADFSC asset management policies workshop by ADFSC Project team, Asset data collection with defined standards and RFID tagging.   Asset data collection included asset attributes along with the images as this one of the key critical business need.

All ADFSC-locations were defined and all assets were mapped to respective location to provide a proper Location tree view hierarchy to manage assets across the locations with ease.

Work management process has been configured to initiate and track the maintenance request for the Help Desk Team.

Work Module is configure to plan and perform the work order activities by internal or external team. Email messenger is configured to notify the on-site maintenance team and update the work requestor.

Result

  • Solution is having Arabic User Interface including configured Home Page including business Key Performance Indicators.
  • Deployed Infor EAM is a html5.0 web application allows access of application from all standard browsers like Safari, Android, Chrome, IE ext. and reduces the burden of in –house IT support.
  • Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre (ADFSC), continues to explore new opportunities for growth and advancement, and aims to carry on investing in its use of deployed solution with post implementation audit and suggestions done by Intertec’s EAM specialists.
