Our client is one of the world’s leading developers and a major contributor to realising the vision of Dubai for the 21st century: to create a world class destination for living, business and tourism. The organisation continues to deliver and enhance an iconic portfolio of innovative landmark projects in Dubai across the residential, retail, hospitality and leisure sectors. Their current and future retail project portfolio covers nearly 17 million square feet of leasable space.

Business Scenario

Most of the existing hardware at the company was reaching end of service life therefore continuing with current infra was a costly solution. The renewal cost can be utilized to consolidate, optimize and technology refresh with new compute, storage and backup solution. Our Client’s main objective for this project was to transform the traditional data centers into a private cloud with fluid pools of compute, storage, and fabric resources to meet to support both traditional workload and new applications and provide ‘Infrastructure as code’ capability provides on-demand delivery and support of applications and services with consistent governance, compliance, and integration.

Solution

Intertec Systems together with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) worked on designing the one of the first Composable Infrastructure solution in the region to comprehensively address the client’s need for software defined data center and to provide high performance and scalable infrastructure.

We proposed latest technology HPE Synergy Composable Infrastructure Platform with upgrading existing 3PAR All Flash Array which helps to optimize any application and store all data on a single infrastructure with fluid pools of physical and virtual compute, storage, and fabric with single management. As an extensible platform, it easily enables a broad range of applications and operational models such as virtualization, hybrid cloud, and DevOps. With HPE Synergy, IT can become not just the internal service provider but the business partner to rapidly launch new applications that become the business. On new platform we migrated approx. 180+ VM’s for Production environment and approximately 70+ VM’s for the Test and Development environment.
