Business Scenario
The authority did not have any active infrastructure in place and they look out to deploy a new state-of-the-art Data Center to host Infrastructure Applications for new employees and users. Our Client’s main objective for this project was to build a highly available, secure and scalable infrastructure for both Primary DC and Disaster Recovery Site for Infrastructure Applications. Our client wanted to have dedicated environments for Production, Pre-Production, SIT-UAT & Development at Primary DC and all environments except Pre-Production at DR Site. In addition to above they were also looking for end user computing i.e. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to be implemented at DC and DR.Challenges

Solution
Intertec together with DellEMC worked on infrastructure design which comprehensively addressed the client’s need for a high performance, high capacity scalable solution both at primary and DR site. We have proposed DellEMC hype-converged platform VXRAIL, which basically consists of compute, storage and SAN network and SW.
VXRAIL architecture is proven Industry Leading HCI platform. It also provide Single Support and Remote Monitoring for All Components – HW. VXRAIL is proposed for all environments for Production, Pre-Production, SIT-UAT & Development at Primary DC and all environments except Pre-Production at DR Site.
DellEMC DataDomain 6800 and Data Protection Suite was proposed for Backup and D2D based backup. Dell EMC Data Domain systems reduce the amount of disk storage needed to retain and protect data by ratios of 10-30x and greater. With throughput up to 68 TB/hour, Data Domain systems make it possible to complete more backups in less time and provide faster, more reliable restores.
For DR solution we have offered RV4VM which is best and proven solution from Dell EMC which will take core for VM level replication. Dell EMC RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines, a member of the RecoverPoint family, redefines data protection for VMware virtualized environments. It protects Virtual Machines (VM) at VM level granularity with local and remote replication for recovery to any Point-in-Time (PiT). It supports synchronous and asynchronous replication over any distance with efficient WAN bandwidth utilization, reducing network costs up to 90%.
For VDI we have proposed industry leading VMware Horizon solution. VMware Horizon transforms static desktops into secure, digital workspaces that can be delivered on demand. Provision virtual or remote desktops and applications through a single VDI and app virtualization platform to streamline management and easily entitle end users.
