Associate Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance web and mobile application features using .NET Core, React.js and/or Flutter
• Build and maintain backend services using ASP.NET Core / Web API
• Participate in technical discussions and implement solutions based on approved designs
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs; gain exposure to microservices and event-driven solutions
• Translate clear business and functional requirements into maintainable code with guidance
• Collaborate with UI/UX, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and development team members
• Follow established practices for performance, maintainability, security, and responsiveness
• Implement authentication and authorization features using established patterns such as JWT and role-based access control
• Participate in code reviews, address review feedback, and follow coding standards and development best practices
• Seek guidance from senior developers and share knowledge with peers
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities
• Support CI/CD pipelines and follow established build and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot application defects and production issues; document findings and escalate complex issues appropriately
• Contribute to API and application performance improvements
• Implement logging, error handling, and monitoring according to project standards
• Coordinate with team members to complete assigned deliverables on schedule
• Take ownership of assigned features, defects, code quality, and technical documentation

Mandatory:

Backend – .NET

• Good hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
• Practical experience developing ASP.NET Core Web APIs
• Working knowledge of Entity Framework Core
• Good understanding of OOP and SOLID principles; familiarity with common design patterns and layered or clean architecture
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs; exposure to microservices is desirable
• Working knowledge of asynchronous programming and background services
• Understanding of dependency injection, validation, exception handling, and API versioning concepts.

Frontend – React.js 

• Good hands-on experience with React.js 
• Good understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript 
• Working knowledge of Redux, Context API, or another state-management solution 
• Experience developing responsive and reusable UI components 
• Basic understanding of React performance considerations 
• Experience integrating React applications with REST APIs 
• Awareness of frontend security and browser-based application architecture 

Mobile – Flutter 

• Hands-on experience or project exposure with Flutter and Dart 
• Experience contributing to cross-platform mobile applications 
• Working knowledge of Flutter application structure and state management 
• Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs 
• Awareness of the mobile application lifecycle, build, deployment, and publishing processes 
• Basic understanding of mobile performance considerations 

Database

• Hands-on experience with at least one relational database such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Good understanding of SQL, database design basics, normalization, indexes, stored procedures, and query optimization
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is an advantage

Cloud, DevOps & Tools 

• Basic hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and release processes
• Exposure to OCI and/or Azure
• Awareness of Kubernetes is an advantage
• Experience using Git-based source control such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Understanding of application configuration and environment management

Security & Architecture 

• Working knowledge of JWT, role-based access control, API security, secure coding practices, and OWASP principles
• Awareness of OAuth2/OpenID Connect, microservices, caching, performance optimization, logging, monitoring, and observability
• Good understanding of SOLID principles; familiarity with clean architecture and common design patterns
• Ability to implement approved technical designs rather than independently owning enterprise architecture decisions

Soft Skills

• Exposure to Azure, OCI, or AWS services
• Knowledge of Redis caching
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Application Insights, or similar monitoring tools
• Experience writing unit, integration, or API tests
• Ability to prepare module-level technical notes or contribute to LLD documentation
• Good communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and learning skills
• Experience estimating own tasks and communicating risks, dependencies, and progress
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development team
• Demonstrated ownership of assigned work and willingness to grow toward broader technical responsibilities
