The client is one of the fastest-growing airline companies in the Middle East. They operate a low-cost airline and provide passenger and air freight transport services for nearby countries in West and South Asia and Eastern Europe at cheap prices with no frills. They have a large data center at their offices at Abu Hail in the North Eastern End of the Dubai Airport complex. There are about 150 servers out of which 60 are physical and the remaining 90 are virtual servers. Initially, they had a monolithic single vendor backup solution that was not perfectly catering to their fast-paced and ever-changing application and server landscape. There was a need for a new approach to backing up their applications and servers.
